For å holde litt orden og seriøsitet på trafikken her inne på forumet, ber vi dere om å følge noen enkle regler.
1. Vi bruker våre egne, ekte navn. Begrunnelsen ligger i at stoffet på forumet er av vitenskapelig interesse, og derfor er det ikke behov for oppdiktede brukernavn. Tiltaket forenkler også arbeidet med å luke ut eventuelle spammere for oss moderatorer.
2. Når innlegg postes, så prøv å være så nøyaktig som mulig med beskrivelse av funnsted og kroppslengde. Dette er viktige opplysninger som kan gjøre identifiseringsjobben enklere.
3. Fotos som lastes direkte opp til til forumet må ikke være bredere enn 800 pixler, og ikke høyere enn 600 pixler. Oppløsning max 72 dpi. Størrelsen må ikke overstige 200 kb. Er det over disse målene, blir automatisk bildene avvist, og man får ikke lagt inn. Dette er fordi vi har begrenset med plass på serveren, samt at bildene vil gå langt utover forumrammene. Beskjær fotoene mest mulig slik at edderkoppen blir størst, og ikke bakgrunnen. Dette kan gjøres enkelt i et fotoredigeringsprogram, som feks gratisprogrammet Picasa. Programmet kan også brukes å forminske bildestørrelser med.
Det kan også linkes direkte til opplastede egne bilder andre steder, feks blogg, hjemmesider eller lignende.
Bildene som lastes opp må være brukernes egne, og ikke kopibeskyttet materiale fra andre.
4. Registrer dere gjerne på forumet. Da får dere tilgang til mange flere bolker og fordeler, samt poste egne innlegg. Det er en hyggelig gjeng her inne.
5. Ønsker du/dere å prøve å identifisere deres edderkoppfunn selv i første omgang, anbefales hovedsiden til forumet: Edderkoppkroken eller hurtigsjekken på Grovidentifisering.
